• Carbon accounting is fast becoming a critical consideration for business. Change is being driven by legislative requirements, customer mandate, and corporate responsibility.  More and more businesses are looking for scalable, transparent and auditable ways to quantify their carbon footprint.
• EFI is at the forefront of the green energy revolution. All our partnerships have a strong focus on achieving positive environmental outcomes – particularly lowering greenhouse gas emissions and reducing waste.
• EFI was one of the first organisations in New Zealand to gain certification under Landcare Research’s accredited Certified Emissions Measurement and Reduction Scheme – CEMARS®.  As part of the certification and auditing process under CEMARS®, we measure our greenhouse gas emissions at six monthly intervals in accordance with ISO 14064-1. We have a plan to progressively reduce emissions intensity on all our customer sites and EFI-owned plants.
• In the past 10 years, EFI has been recognised with a number of prestigious awards for the innovation and design of industrial scale renewable energy supply projects in the New Zealand market. Four EFI projects have been recognised with EECA Energy-Wise Awards.
