Fuel Sources

With our established supply chain systems and expertise, EFI can ensure you a reliable and timely supply of fuel. Options include:

Wood Fuel
EFI can supply you with clean wood fuel through our subsidiary Wood Energy New Zealand  (WENZ). This fuel comes in the form of seasoned wood chips, and is sourced from sustainably grown forests across the country.

“Waste” Fuel
We’re experts in helping you convert process wastes to energy. This allows you to kill two birds with one stone – reducing your waste and reducing your dependence on external energy sources. We implement  a range of leading edge waste-to-energy conversion technologies, such as the bubbling fluidised bed boiler technology used with dewatered waste/sludge as a positive net fuel source (a New Zealand first).

Multiple Fuels
For some organisations, a tailored mix of fuel sources is the preferred option. EFI are also experts in using multiple fuels – coal, gas, wood fuel, process waste or a combination – to provide the most cost-effective fuel solution for your business.
